Cobalt Baroque Crown Silk Rug

Curated and presented by Hamed Khodabakhshi, Founder of Persian Royal Rug

European Baroque Medallion with Floral Arabesques

A regal handmade Qom pure silk carpet centred on an oval floral medallion framed by layered baroque scrollwork. Deep cobalt blue, black and antique gold create a dramatic courtly composition softened by coral and turquoise blossoms.

The Artwork

The Cobalt Baroque Crown

A richly layered oval medallion anchors the composition, surrounded by architectural cartouches, scrolling acanthus leaves and finely arranged flower sprays. The cobalt field gives the design a jewel-like depth, while gold and ivory outlines sharpen every ornamental contour.

Handwoven in Qom over approximately two years with a fine 74 Raj structure, this signed 100 × 150 cm pure silk carpet is accompanied by a certificate from the Qom Hand-Woven Carpet Weavers’ Union. Its formal symmetry and European-inspired arabesques make it a striking statement piece.
