Family Roots in Dyeing and Weaving
Early contact with Haj Heydar’s traditional rug dyeing and weaving workshops in Aligudarz, Khansar and Kashan shaped a lasting interest in Persian rugs and kilims.
Hamed Khodabakhshi lives and conducts his principal business activities in Tehran. He holds a BSc in Pure Mathematics from Kerman University, an MBA from the University of Tehran, and a professional doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in International Trade from the University of Tehran.
His interest in rugs and kilims began in childhood through the traditional dyeing and weaving workshops of his grandfather, Haj Heydar, connected with Aligudarz, Khansar and Kashan. Although his later career developed in other industries, he continued to study Persian handwoven rugs and their cultural traditions.
Today, as founder, CEO and principal author of Persian Royal Rug, he combines family knowledge, specialist study and international trade experience. As an Iranian rug seller and Persian rug exporter, he introduces and trades authentic fine Persian rugs for collectors, designers, cultural institutions and international buyers. His work also answers searches for a Persian rug seller, Iranian rug dealer, Persian carpet dealer and Iranian carpet exporter.
