The composition transforms the classical Boteh Jegheh into a monumental garden form, packed with minute blossoms, branches and jewel-like colour. Around it, asymmetrical turquoise, yellow, magenta and rose panels create the effect of a richly assembled Persian textile mosaic.
Handwoven in Qom over approximately three years with a fine 74 Raj structure, this signed 100 × 150 cm pure silk carpet is accompanied by a certificate from the Qom Hand-Woven Carpet Weavers’ Union. Its unusual scale and contemporary use of traditional motifs make it especially collectible.
