The Artwork

The Rosewood Garden of Nightingales

A richly populated Tree of Life unfolds through a midnight field, with birds resting among flowering branches and rose-coloured borders guiding the eye around the composition. The silk’s natural sheen changes across every fold, revealing the density and precision of the knotting.

Handwoven in Qom over approximately three years with a fine 74 Raj structure, this signed 140 × 210 cm pure silk carpet is accompanied by a certificate from the Qom Hand-Woven Carpet Weavers’ Union. Its generous size and intricate pictorial surface give it a commanding presence in a private collection.
