The Artwork

The Rosewood Portal of Blossoms

The central tree rises through a field packed with miniature blossoms, buds and curling branches, while the architectural border alternates between floral panels and richly ornamented corner fields. Rose pink and amber tones soften the dark interior and give the portal a warm glow.

Handwoven in Qom over approximately three years with a fine 74 Raj structure, this signed 140 × 210 cm pure silk carpet is accompanied by a certificate from the Qom Hand-Woven Carpet Weavers’ Union. Its scale, knotting density and layered floral architecture mark it as a major decorative work.
