An authentic handmade Kashan rug featuring a richly balanced Shah Abbasi Islimi composition. Large palmettes, scrolling arabesques, blossoms and paired animal forms unfold across a deep midnight field, framed by a red floral border. Measuring 200 × 300 cm, it has a premium Merino wool pile, cotton warp and weft, and a 37 Raj weave. Mr. Abdoshah wove the rug, and Master Gholam Ramezani prepared the 100% natural dyes. The weaver’s name and signature are woven into the carpet, and a Kashan Handwoven Carpet Union certificate of authenticity is supplied. In this composition, the dark field intensifies the blue, red, ivory and gold motifs, while the warm red border creates a clear architectural frame.
